Riverdale was a hot mess, inside a dumpster fire, inside a train-wreck.

Viewers have made it clear that Riverdale went into a very odd and different direction then most people thought they would.

Now, let’s take a trip down memory lane to highlight some of the most chaotic, problematic, and unhinged moments in Riverdale.
Let’s first start with Archie having a “relationship” with his teacher.
Archie was 15 years old when he started his “relationship” with his teacher, Ms. Grundy, who was 35 years old.
She needs to be in prison!!!

We must also remember this plot twist. In case you forgot… Betty and Jughead were in a relationship together😬

Betty’s fake brother dating Betty’s real brother
This is a very long and confusing storyline, but this storyline starts in season 2 and mentioned again in more detail in season 3 and season 5.

Last but certainly not least… “Dark Betty.”
“Dark Betty” is supposed to be Betty’s alter ego. She does these scandalous acts that “perfect” Betty wouldn’t typically do. For this alter ego, she wears a black bob and black lingerie. Remember that Betty is a minor in high school. This is wildly inappropriate for a CHILD to be portrayed like this.
This also shows the obsession with writers continuing to write characters that are suppose to be minors. It makes it even more weird when you know that adults are writing and approving these scripts. Putting these high school students in inappropriate and vulnerable positions is very problematic. While I understand high school students have sex, portraying them in this way is not okay. Especially when they are having “relationships” with adults and acting like adults when they are suppose to be children.
